I think they want us to see this movie:

I'll admit that I'm curious about how a CGI Paul Walker is going to play out (probably badly).

What, they hadn't finished principal photography before the crash?

Honestly after seeing CGI Jeff Bridges in the new Tron movie, I think they can pull it off. Not like the Fast franchise is known for the subtlety of its performances anyway haha

I'll probably go see it in theaters.

Nope. He died half way through that. They're using body doubles and CGI to complete the other half.
I wonder how his role is going to play out now. Gonna be some serious sad pandas out there if they kill his character off now that the actor is dead. But they can't just continue with this CGI body double stuff either. It would be nice if this were the last film, but we wouldn't have 7 FFs if they had an end game for the story.

I hate to say it but the previews have me wanting to see it.
The car jumping from building to building reminds me of Black Moon Rising with Tommy Lee Jones.
Hmm. Black Moon had some awesome cars in it. I may have to go get that now.

Funny - the GF asked me why they made 3 Hobbit movies instead of 2 ... because they'll make $900 million on each one. As long as these keep making money, they'll keep making them. They can easily swap out a character for a new one. I've seen six (or at least the one where they drag the bank vault around). I'll wait for the blu ray on this one.

The last thing I saw in a theater was Star Trek Into Darkness (because I knew it would trip every switch in the 8 year old in me). The next one I'll see is SPECTRE, then Star Wars VII. Takes a lot to get me into a theater at this point.

Last three I saw were, the second Hunger Games(watching the third right now), Guardians of the Galaxy, and Big Hero 6. All worth it.

I think that was easier to get away with because most of the environments CGI Jeff was acting in were also CGI. Almost nothing was real in that movie. A CGI actor against real environments is going to be a harder sell if it's not so good, plus better projectors and monitors everywhere do a great job of highlighting below average-to-bad CGI. Re-watch 'Dragonheart' or any of it's terrible sequels on an HDTV to see what I mean...
